Such a parade
We lined the streets
Bands in step with the wishes of the day
We waved they waved
Silhouette waving
to anyone who was nobody at all
Heroes of never-should-have-been wars
feeling lucky to be alive
Marchers Pedestrians Birds in flight
shadows of wished for greatness
We are all lucky to be alive
Surveying surviving strugglers
of wars of life
Always on parade
Trying to stay in step one more time
