Comment: Deepest prayers of compassion be with Terrell. Wings of freedom to Leigh. Only by his fathers words was he known here. Always loving, supportive, nurturing and proud of a most beloved son. |

Comment: When I think of Leigh, I remember an extreamly smart kid. Alway full of questions and the dedication to learn. Always trying to better himself as an athlete and as a person. He was a friend that I will never forget. |

Comment: As a baseball family, we have known Leigh
since second year U14's through our regular contact over the years at
SASI, State and club levels. Leigh had a big heart, a great deal of talent, and was well liked by all who knew him. It is a huge loss to the South Australian baseball community that will be felt for a long time to come. Our condolences go to Leigh's family and friends. |

Comment: I worked with Leigh both as an amatuer and a professional. I remember meeting this brave young man who, at 15, took a bus to my house on the other side of the world for the possible shot of becoming a professional baseball player. He did it...he worked hard, got better and then at just 17, left his country to begin his career. Never a complaint, what a brave young man. |

Comment: In the words of Kurt Vonnegut, You decided to "close your peephole" too early. I'll never get over that you didn't know how many of us really loved you, for you. Not for the fame that we could suck off you for non existent musical talent, or things that didn't count. At least, your cousins and I never used you. So many happy times will not happen. I'll remember you the way you were, teasing your dad with me at our home long distance on-line, laughing for hours. Forever in my heart, honey...fore |

Comment: Spending countless hours at SASI was made so
much easier to be doing it with Leigh. Whether it be trying to throw as
hard as him while playing catch or trying to keep up with him on the bench
press laughs were always had. He was not only a good mate but his work
ethic was, and will continue to be, inspiration and motivation for me and
many others. Someone so genuine and so talented is a rare find and a huge loss. I'll miss you as a mate and a compeditor. SASI wont be the same with out you. |

Comment: All of us at the ABF were deeeply saddened
to hear of the tragic news. I had minimal dealings with Leigh over the
years, but what time I spent with him was always a pleasure. He was a man
of rare character and his commitment to his game, to his country and the
game of baseball, was nothing short of inspirational. Leigh, rest in peace mate. |
