I would like to look back at now
One-hundred years from now
A thousand years from now
A million years from now
Would I see this time as strange then
as I do now
This turning point in history
Beginning of the earth’s rejoicing of becoming free
Or would a future event
make this cycle easily forgettable
like we already are trying to do
with now
