for you

© Terrell Adsit-Neuage Tuesday, 10 April 2001

I didn’t

realize

how many holes

in time

there were

until

I began

to fill them

with waitings

I knew

all those thousand poems

ago

a future without you

could not exist

      like life without love

      hunger without warmth

      dreams without wing

me without you

could not exist

But it does.

Wednesday, 11 April 2001  10:23:49 PM  this poem is not  copy-written as I no longer want it.  You can have it!

I loved you

first sight

I loved you

first touch

I loved you

first taste

I love your mind

I love your body

I love your movement

taste

smell

feel

thoughts

Aires spirit

I loved your

last sight

I loved your

last touch

I loved your

last kiss

I didn’t understand

your final words

I love my memories of you

now you are gone.
