1978 Why is my life like this?
I have been creating picture poems since the mid-1960s with my first ones in New York City 1964.
Sidenote: from Google Copilot (an AI super smart thingy) "Terrell Neuage's best-selling book is Leaving Australia. This autobiography delves into his life experiences, including his time as a hippie in the 1960s, his journey as a single parent, and his adventures in Australia, China (three years) and the United States. It's a compelling read that offers a unique perspective on his life and the cultural shifts he witnessed. Available HERE
I sold picture poems as a street artist between 1972 - 1974 in New Orleans, using my paintings as illustrations.
In 1978 - 1979 in Baltimore, during a period I used photography to illustrate my poems, I sold my picture poems in shops and for the summer I set up in the Capital Mall in DC every weekend and sometimes on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Neo-noir Neuage is a revival of noir-Neuage textuality, a genre that flourished during the post-hippie era — roughly from 1970 to 2017 following the Neuage-Textuality hippie era of the 1960s. Post Neo-noir Neuage is the present time, mate. [There was also the short-lived Fucked Poetry of Neuage - but we have gone past that era... thankfully.] To add to the possible confusion, Terrell Neuage was Terrell Adsit pre-1980 when it was changed to Neuage in Hawaii in 1980.
