She rose up from the rubble of my memory
Shattered
but whole all the same
I said ‘remember me’
She escaped
rising higher
Taking her haunting smile with her
Merging with a renegade cloud
Leaving me

She rose up from the rubble of my memory

Shattered
but whole all the same
I said ‘remember me’
She escaped
rising higher
Taking her haunting smile with her
Merging with a renegade cloud
Leaving me
repairing regrets
in the depths of my memory
