'I entered a sock-poem writing contest I wrote about the long past evening along the Maui shore when I first took them off in front of you to feel the sand between my toes. But I didn't win you or any other contest Now whenever I see socks I set them on fire I have a luau a barbie I have a sacrifice tomorrow I enter a underwear writing contest' Terrell - '80 Maui

"I entered a sock-poem writing contest

I wrote about the long past evening

along the Maui shore when I first took them

off in front of you

to feel the sand between my toes.

But I didn't win you

or any other contest

Now whenever I see socks

I set them on fire

I have a luau

a barbie

I have a sacrifice

tomorrow I enter

a underwear writing contest"
