Wanted

to Say Something

so significant That would be remembered

Repeated

Remembered

repeated.

The way she smiled When I walked out the door... Why would she be that way?

Sometimes

Just as the sun finally sets I see her smile Merge

into a fading horizon. The leaves fell from the trees Early this fall. All the signs were there The early harvest

The colder nights

The memories...

The sill closed door

Sur moi

All these decades later So take my advice If she smiles for you

Like fading day Say something significant That will be remembered

And repeated Because no one else will.
