Today we are going to spotlight the transformation and the action settings.

I. Transformation

We are going to look at the transformation options next.

I have Sage's (Margaret's?) star, Penelope, which we will transform. Firstly, go to Windows > Transform

The transform menu will help us modify images on the stage. Select your image that you wish to transform as shown below and you will get the current numbers.

By putting in 50% as I did below and rotating -40 degrees (because I wanted to go left) I have Penelope slipping on ice. Remember to tick 'Constrain' to get your percents equal.

Notice that the 'Skew' values change to the same as the rotate.

You can copy and apply transform by clicking on the button in the bottom corner of the transform menu box or reset it to go back to your original thingy.

II. Actions

Windows > Actions

We can not use Action scripts for graphic symbols. If you do you get Notice how in the second panel above that when I scroll over 'movie clip' it says 'Actions - Movie Clip' in the Actions panel.

on the left is Actions MX2004 (Global Functions > Timeline control) On the right is MX -  Be sure you are on the frame you want to stop the action on. For example on the left I am in Frame 15. To further show where I am I can look in the Property Inspector and it shows my alien 'Instance of: alien4. gif' which of course is in my library because that is where an Instance is kept.

By clicking onto an action we can change it - first read what it says about the action. For example,

Try some of your movie or buttons (instances from the library) then go to 'on' in the action menu and do something in the dialogue box that appears. For example, here I have it so that when I roll the cursor over the frame it releases.

Here is an example of putting each few lines into consecutive sequences Baby ART (Just the words are here and the visual stuff I will work on whilst you are working on yours) or by using scenes again see Vegi Fighters

By overlaying sounds you can create your own unique background
